Working closely with the volunteer driver you will be required to sort and box donated food from local supermarkets ensuring that you check the 'use by' and the 'best before' dates before placing it into banana boxes. All donated food is also weighed for reporting purposes.
You must be able to use a 'smart phone' to take photos and upload the photos on our Facebook page with narrations whilst in the chiller truck between supermarkets.
Good communication skills are required, as this team member liaises with the various partner agencies calling them from our chiller truck to arrange at time to collect the stock from our refrigeration equipment. These partner agencies come from all over the Greater Wellington region, including Kapiti, Upper Hutt, and Wellington City.
