About The Role:

This is a 12 month fixed term maternity cover at our Tawa store. As the Assistant Store Manager you will have a passion for Asics and will excel in providing a world class customer experience to people from all backgrounds.

You will enjoy leading a friendly sales environment and are motivated by personal & team sales targets. You will bring previous people leadership skills and high energy to the role. You will have a strong handle on both spoken and written English and will be comfortable communicating with clients over the telephone, written email and face to face.

Your responsibilities will include:

Supporting the store manager to lead a high performing team
Driving sales and KPI targets through leading by example and upskilling the team
Representing the brand with energy, pride and displaying high standards in all actions
Delivering an exemplary customer experience which includes offering a premium fitting service
Achieving individual sales goals & KPI's
Merchandising the store to global direction and maintaining visual merchandising to the highest standard
Supporting the store managers with other operational tasks including stock processing
Skills and experience required:

A minimum of 1 year management experience within a retail environment at a similar level
A proven track record of providing high level customer service to achieve budgets and KPIS
Excellent communication and time management skills
The ability to adapt and problem solve
Current NZ work rights
A passion for sport and athletic interest is beneficial
