He Kōrero Mō Te Tūranga | The Role
Do you have a strong commitment to promoting health, safety, and wellbeing in the workplace?
We are looking for an experienced Health, Safety and Wellbeing Advisor to join our team. In this role, you will play a key part in promoting safe working practices and supporting health, safety, and wellbeing initiatives across the organisation. You will provide hands-on support and advice to Line Managers, Health and Safety Representatives, and Kaimahi, fostering a safe and healthy work environment.
Key responsibilities include:
Manage EcoPortal for accurate and timely incident reporting.
Promote a positive safety culture and share best practices.
Assist with health, safety, and wellbeing initiatives and projects.
Collect and analyse insights through reporting and kōrero with stakeholders.
Support the National Health, Safety & Wellbeing Manager and Senior Advisor with administrative tasks and report preparation.
This role offers a salary band ranging from $83,986.65 to $94,714.87 per annum.
Placement within this band will be determined by the extent to which candidates meet or exceed the relevant qualifications and experience requirements.
Note: Shortlisting will begin in May, closer to the closing date.
He kōrero mōu | About You
Bachelor's degree in Health and Safety or related discipline.
3-5 years of experience in a health, safety, and wellbeing function.
Strong skills in risk identification, assessment, and incident management.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency with digital tools and data analysis.
Experience in promoting a positive safety culture and best practices.
Ability to provide practical support and advice to various stakeholders.
Full and current New Zealand driver's licence and eligibility to work in New Zealand.
