Welcome to the Tawa Business Improvement District (BID) website. We are an initiative funded jointly by businesses located within the defined Tawa BID area and the Wellington City Council.

We were established in 2015, with the primary objective to improve agreed commercial initiatives to assist the Tawa business community. The Tawa BID group is funded by way of a targeted rate, where only building owners who pay ‘commercial rates’ pay the targeted BID rate. The building owner has the option to on charge it to their tenants, or not.

This website provides a platform where you can be kept informed with regular updates of the progress made, of key initiatives being implemented by the Tawa Business Group Inc (TBG). This incorporated group was formed to manage the funds and activities for the BID initiatives.
