Our Story:
National Storage was founded in December 2000 through the merger of three Australian self storage businesses. While each business was successful in its own right, the union combined more than 30 years of industry experience to create a truly expansive network of centres providing personalised storage solutions.

After listing on the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX) in December 2013, National Storage formed National Storage REIT (NSR), to become the first publicly listed, internally managed, independent and fully integrated owner/operator of Australian self-storage centres. Since then, the National Storage portfolio has grown by more than 40 additional storage centres, expanding the brand throughout Australia and into New Zealand. The National Storage NZ story began with five Christchurch centres in 2015. National Storage has since grown to include Dunedin, Pukekohe, Wellington and Hamilton and continues to expand into New Zealand.
