Welcome to the Tawa Business Improvement District (BID) website. We are a mutual partnership between Wellington City Council and the Tawa business community.

We were established in 2015, with the primary objective to develop projects and services that benefit the Tawa business community. The Tawa BID group is funded by a targeted rate, where only building owners who pay ‘commercial rates’ pay the targeted BID rate. The building owner has the option to on-charge this to their tenants, or not.

This website provides a platform where you can be kept informed with regular updates on the progress of our Strategic Business Plan, which consists of the key initiatives being implemented by the Tawa Business Group Inc (TBG). This incorporated group was formed to manage the funds and activities for the BID initiatives.
